The new infrastructure that will be based in Abanto-Zierbena will allow both companies and institutions to have a large information storage capacity in the cloud, under criteria of maximum security and proximity, on which to develop their digital transformation processes.
The Lehendakari of the Basque Government, Inigo Urkulluparticipated this Monday in the laying of the first stone of ADI Data Center, the large first-level data center for the Atlantic area, which will be based at the Ezkerraldea-Meatzaldea Campus of the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park, in Abanto-Zierbena (Bizkaia).
This is a new infrastructure that will allow both companies and institutions to have large capacity of information storage in the cloudunder criteria of maximum security and proximity, on which to develop your digital transformation processes.
“Everything has changed overnight,” the Lehendakari said in his speech, while ensuring that this new form of information storage represents a “huge qualitative leap“which will completely change the way we work with new technologies.
Urkullu has been convinced that the Atlantic Data Infrastructure-ADI center will offer a “close, solvent, and economical” alternative for the Basque industrial fabric, which will prevent data storage from becoming a barrier to the development of the digitalization of companies.
“We are talking, in short, about a system kilometer zero with cutting-edge digital technology and rooted in Euskadi”, he concluded.
