The pictures show Luis Diaz’s emotional reunion with his father after his abduction.

Former Porto player Luis Diaz has been reunited with his father, who was kidnapped and held captive for a week and a half. The images released Tuesday by the Colombian Football Federation capture the emotion of the moment.

Authorities in the South American country have arrested four criminals involved in the kidnapping of the player’s father, two days after the release of Luis Manuel Diaz. The suspects belong “criminal organization” called “Los Primos”.

The father of the Colombian Liverpool athlete said he spent “almost 12 days without sleep” but was not ill-treated by his kidnappers.

On October 28, the parents of the former Porto footballer, now playing for Liverpool, were kidnapped by armed men. when they were at a gas station in Barrancas. The 26-year-old’s mother was released a few hours later.
