Two young men, aged 22 and 24, were stabbed on Thursday evening on Rua de Belomonte in Fontainhas in Porto. According to Correio da Manhã, the alarm was raised around 10:30 p.m.
Two friends were walking down the street in the company of a third young man when, as the couple passed, a suspect approached them and accused them of looking at a woman.
At that moment, the attacker, armed with a sharp weapon, stabbed the eldest in the stomach and the youngest in the chest and immediately disappeared.
INEM treated the two young men on the spot and took them to Santo António Hospital, where they remain in hospital, but according to the CM, their lives are not in danger.
Police officers rushed to the scene, but by the time agents arrived, the attacker had already fled. The third member of the group of victims even tried to intercept the attacker, but to no avail.
The case has now been transferred to the PSP Criminal Investigation Department in Porto, which is investigating and attempting to contact the suspect. It has not yet been identified.
