A family from Connecticut discovered a sleeping bear under their porch.
“My brother and his girlfriend took the dog outside, and she was a little nervous,” Tyler Dashukevich said. CNN. “So we ended up going downstairs and there was a bear.”
“We couldn’t believe it,” the photographer added. “We’re used to seeing bears where I live, but we’re not used to them staying that long.”
Images of the discovery were posted on TikTok and show the moment the family discovers the animal.
The family told CNN who contacted the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), who advised them to leave the animal there to end hibernation.
