A PSP officer from the Orem Police Department was stabbed by an Iraqi who threatened several customers with a knife as they drank beer on a patio near the Orem courthouse.
PSP were called to intervene and the 29-year-old man continued his aggressive behavior and ended up lightly stabbing one of the officers who was treated at the scene without having to go to hospital, the man responsible for the incident explained. PSP command in Santarém.
At the same time, two more men were also identified who had threatened and insulted some clients.
“It is a matter of culture shock because the education of the members does not allow drinking alcohol in public places,” a PSP source said.
The detainee will remain in the PSP cell until he is brought before the court for a hearing by a judge.
