Ruben Aguiar, a popular music singer arrested by the judicial police for running over and attempting to kill a man in a service area in Alcochete, on April 18 this year, was officially charged by the Office of the Public Prosecutor (MP) with the crime of qualified murder and attempted murder.
The musician, who has since been released from pre-trial detention and is at home wearing an electronic bracelet, acted after a heated argument with the 56-year-old victim, according to the deputy.
“The car he was driving attacked the victim, who was still walking. The victim fell, and the accused reversed and ran over the victim,” explains the deputy.
The 56-year-old suffered such serious injuries that, in addition to undergoing surgery, he has not yet been permanently discharged.
The investigation was carried out by Deputy Montijo with the assistance of the Judicial Police of Setúbal, who arrested the 37-year-old singer and brought him before a judge.
