Elena Magid, the aunt of an Israeli-Russian hostage released this Sunday by Hamas after direct negotiations with Moscow, said that her nephew Ron Krivoy managed to escape from his captors and hide in the Gaza Strip for four days, according to Times of Israel.
In an interview with Israeli radio, the woman said that Krivoy told her that he was held in a building that collapsed after IDF airstrikes, and that he managed to escape amid the destruction.
Elena Magid also says that four days later her nephew was captured by Gazans and returned to Hamas.
The 25-year-old was released this Sunday after negotiations between Moscow and the Islamic group, along with 13 other Israeli hostages and three foreigners on the third day of the Gaza ceasefire.
In accordance with Jerusalem PostKrivoy worked as a sound engineer at the Supernova music festival, which was attacked by Hamas on October 7.
