Six minors were reportedly poisoned near the Dr. Joan das Regras school in Lourinha on Tuesday. The GNR found no evidence of a crime.

Of the six children, five were taken to Torres Vedras Hospital and one was being looked after at school. The minors are still under surveillance.
A GNR source told Lusa that tests carried out on the young people at the Torres Vedras emergency department at the Centro Hospitalar do Oeste (CHO) did not reveal the presence of drugs or any toxic substances.
The same officers identified and interviewed the suspect and concluded that no crime had occurred, equating the symptoms to the possibility of excessive chewing gum ingestion by young people.
