Hamas invited Elon Musk to visit the Gaza Strip

Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas invited billionaire Elon Musk to visit the Gaza Strip on Tuesday to prove the “scale of massacres” carried out by Israel in the territory, after the businessman visited a “kibbutz” in southern Israel.

“We invite Mr. Elon Musk, who previously visited the occupation zone, to now visit the Gaza Strip to see the scale of the massacres and crimes committed against our people, adhering to the standards of objectivity,” Hamas leader Osama said. Hamdan at a press conference in Lebanon, quoted by EFE.

Osama Hamdan invited Elon Musk to visit the enclave “away from police bias and double standards regarding the issue of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.”

On Monday, Elon Musk, together with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, visited one of the “kibbutzim” in southern Israel, which was attacked by Hamas on October 7.

“We must demilitarize the Gaza Strip after the destruction of Hamas” and “deradicalize” the Palestinian territory, Benjamin Netanyahu said following his visit to Kfar Aza.

The Prime Minister’s Office published photographs of two men walking through the ruins of the kibbutz.

“We will have to rebuild Gaza, and I hope to count on the help of our Arab friends in this,” Netanyahu continued.

The prime minister also added that he hopes to resume talks to normalize relations with Saudi Arabia and “expand the circle of peace beyond what can be imagined.”

Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi announced an agreement to use businessman Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite Internet access service in Israel and the Gaza Strip.

None of Netanyahu’s comments mentioned Musk’s recent accusations of spreading anti-Semitic speech on social network X.

Israel’s president also announced that Musk would discuss with the country’s President Isaac Herzog on Monday “the need to combat online anti-Semitism,” but the meeting was not publicly disclosed.

During the meeting, President Herzog will be accompanied by “representatives of the families of the hostages detained by Hamas.”

Musk has been criticized for spreading hate speech on X since he took control of the platform in October 2022.

In mid-November, the White House accused him of “abusively promoting anti-Semitic and racist hatred.”

In a post on X, Musk agreed with the conspiracy theory that Jews have a secret plan to encourage illegal immigration into Western countries in order to weaken the white majority in those countries.

Israel declared war on Hamas on October 7 following the Islamist group’s attack on Israeli territory, which included the launch of more than 4,000 rockets and the infiltration of some 3,000 militias that killed nearly 1,200 people and kidnapped 240 people in Israeli communities. near the Gaza Strip.

The current truce, brokered by Qatar and the United States, lasts until Wednesday, although negotiations to extend this period continue.
