The inspector of the Estrela parish council, Márcio Marujo, is among those detained in the operation to apprehend Heitor Brandão, a drug trafficker and “heir” of the Xuxa shipping routes, arrested by the PS for the same crime.
Marcio Marujo is the companion of Karin Brandao, Heitor Brandao’s sister. The father-in-law, known as “Francis”, is the third detainee and both will be tried this Wednesday at the Lisbon Court of Appeal. Both are Portuguese citizens.
On Tuesday, the Judicial Police detained Cape Verdean Portuguese Heitor Brandan, one of Lisbon’s biggest traffickers under investigation in several countries, in a mega operation coordinated with French authorities. The Xuxa heir even joined the PSD list at the Estrela parish meeting in 2013, in the Centir Lisboa coalition.
