Less serious cases will no longer be treated in the emergency room, the newspaper reported Thursday. Public. Patients with blue and green wristbands who arrive at the emergency department on their own will be referred for consultation on the same or the next day at the clinic or day hospital.
The draft government resolution will be submitted for public discussion for 30 days. The goal is to reduce excessive demand for emergency services.
These restrictions exclude elderly people over 70 years of age, bedridden or wheelchair-bound patients, trauma victims, patients with acute psychiatric and obstetric situations, and pregnant women. Patients with a history of active cancer also do not require evaluation in the emergency department.
The restrictions will be introduced in stages, depending on the “response capacity of different levels of medical care” and the corresponding “variations across the country,” the draft resolution says.
