A 63-year-old man was stabbed to death by his 20-year-old son in the house where they lived in the municipality of Tavira. Crime, CM, occurred in the Varzea do Vinagre area, in the parish of Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo, after a family quarrel. The victim was hit in the chest and was rescued by firefighters and INEM, but did not survive his serious injuries.
ABOUT CM he knows that his father has a history of domestic violence and that his son claims he acted to protect his mother from abuse. The young man remained at home and was detained by PPR officers, who later transferred the case to the judicial police. The killer was heard on Tuesday by a Faro court judge and will await trial in pre-trial detention.
