Thus, the airline and the trade union structure “signed this afternoon a document defining the extension of the Company Agreement, defined for the first time in 2016, which sets the conditions for the company’s flight attendants in Portugal until January 31, 2027, at the facilities of the DGERT – Directorate General of Employment and Labor Relations “
Through the agreement, “easyJet reaffirms its continued assurance that it employs all its crew members on local contracts, in full compliance with national laws and its recognized trade unions.”
The airline stressed that “all crew salaries, conditions and regulations are agreed upon in company agreements in partnership with the union that represents them.”
“We are extremely pleased to have reached agreement with SNPVAC on a Company Agreement protecting the interests of our crew and operations in Portugal, which will ensure easyJet’s continued sustainable growth in Portugal,” said José Lopes, easyJet’s regional manager for the region. The airline has been operating in Portugal for 25 years and currently operates 32 aircraft, 19 of which are based in Portugal at bases in Porto, Lisbon and Faro, and employs approximately 850 people.
