In the Alcacovas parish of the municipality of Viana do Alentejo (Évora), PNP officers arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of drug trafficking and seized 109 doses of hashish and cocaine, it was reported this Saturday. .
According to the Évora territorial command, the man’s arrest occurred last Monday during a patrol carried out by the military from the Viana do Alentejo territorial post.
During the operation, the military discovered that “a person, having realized the presence” of the GNR, “exhibited suspicious behavior,” he explained.
“The man’s personal vehicle was inspected and searched, as well as a search of the vehicle, during which it was established that the suspect had narcotics and prohibited weapons,” the statement said.
During the action, PPR officers seized 104 doses of hashish, five doses of cocaine, three razors, bladed weapons, an ax and a crowbar.
The detainee was charged and the facts were reported to the Department of Investigation and Criminal Affairs (DIAP) of Évora.
