Airbus said it was sending a team of experts to help investigate Tuesday’s collision between a Japan Airlines A350 and a coast guard plane at Tokyo airport, which killed five passengers.
In a statement, the European aircraft maker explained that these experts will help the authorities in charge of investigating the crash, the Japan Transport Safety Board (JTSB) and the French Bureau of Investigation and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA).
A Japan Airlines airbus carrying 379 passengers, flying from Sapporo in northern Japan, collided with a Japanese Coast Guard DHC-8 aircraft upon landing at Tokyo Haneda Airport, and of the six passengers, only the wounded pilot survived.
