A lightning operation by the Prevention and Immediate Response Teams (EPRI), motorcycle agents of the Lisbon PSP who fight violent crime, led yesterday to the arrest of a 30-year-old man who robbed a pharmacy in the Campo de Ourique area. The thief barricaded himself in a house 300 meters from the crime scene.
The crime occurred at 14:00: a thief with a covered face and a pistol in his hand entered the Lobel pharmacy, located at Rua Infantaria, 16. He forced the service employees, who, according to information CM, recognized him. He was the one who robbed the same pharmacy last Friday.
Yesterday, a thief stole a sum of money and fled on foot. PSP called and blocked traffic. The suspect was seen entering a building on Tenente Ferreira Durao Street, 300 meters from the pharmacy. Since the judicial police had already arrived on the scene, it was decided to delegate the task of opening the suspect’s door and catching him to four EPRI agents. The man did not react; he had the stolen money with him. He was handed over to the judicial police.
