Outgoing Prime Minister Antonio Costa is suspected of malfeasance in connection with the Council of Ministers’ approval of a new legal regime for urbanization and construction on October 19, 2023, according to a report observer.
According to the same media, the Ministry of State (MP) believes that António Costa is involved in the law agreed between Thiago Silveira and the former Minister of Infrastructure, João Galamba, in favor of the Start Campus company.
This Friday, CM reported that the MP considers João Galamba, accused in Operation Influential Man, to be the “author and true mentor” of an alleged scheme to support a company to build a “data center” in Sines.
This is about “customs law“. In the appeal challenging the decision of Judge Nuno Díaz Costa, prosecutors argue that Galamba introduced in the diploma approved by the Council of Ministers a rule that modified the legal regime of urbanization and construction (RJUE) with the aim of “abolishing the licensing procedure of the Chamber of Sine to work.”
