Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Yorgos Lanthimos’ Pobres Criaturas, which features Portuguese fado singer Carmiño, were the big winners at the 81st Golden Globe Awards, presented early this Monday morning in Los Angeles.
The ceremony also made history by honoring Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, the first Indigenous woman to win a Golden Globe for Best Actress.
“Oppenheimer” won, receiving five major statuettes in film categories. It won Best Motion Picture Drama, won Christopher Nolan the Best Director award, led Cillian Murphy to win Best Actor, gave Robert Downey Jr. Best Supporting Actor, and awarded composer Ludwig Göransson Best Sound Group.

The final season of “Legacies” won best drama series on a night that was also “Rixa” and “Bear’s” dream.
The HBO production also brought home Best Actor in a Drama Series for Kieran Culkin, Best Actress in a Drama Series for Sarah Snook and Best Supporting Actor on Television for Matthew Macfadyen.
