According to the preliminary estimate for November, the active population (5,303,700 people) increased compared to October and August (0.1% in both cases), and also compared to November 2022 (1.9%).
The inactive population (2,390,400) decreased 0.1% from the previous month, remained virtually unchanged from three months earlier, and decreased 2.6% from a year earlier.
As for the level of labor underutilization, it amounted to 11.6%, which is the same as in August 2023 and 0.2 percentage points lower than in October and November last year.
INE also published its final statistics for October, revising down the target rate from 6.7% to 6.6%.
