The Ministry of State (MP) has accused 17 people of drug trafficking in Povoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde, Porto district, as well as in Funchal, autonomous region of Madeira, the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Porto region said on Thursday.
According to the deputy’s indictment, the defendants worked in parallel groups under the leadership of two of them, which were engaged in the purchase and sale of drugs, namely cocaine, heroin, hashish and other substances, the prosecutor’s office reports on its official website. .
The suspects sold the drug to approximately 100 users in the regions of Povoa de Varzim and Vila do Conde, Porto district, as well as in Funchal, autonomous region of Madeira, the place where one of the alleged leaders of one of the networks lived. .
Prosecutors say the drug trafficking will continue until the end of 2022.
