PAN wants to return to the parliamentary group in the Assembly of the Republic

A PAN spokesman said this Saturday that the party’s “big challenge” is to restore the parliamentary group in the early legislative elections on March 10, since only the election of more than one MP can give “more strength to the causes” it represents.

“On this 13th anniversary of PAN, we know we have a significant challenge ahead of us. The restoration of the parliamentary group, because only through the restoration of the parliamentary group will we be able to give more strength to the causes that we represent,” said Ines Souza Real, in her speech she highlighted the 13th anniversary of PAN (People – Animals – Nature).

A PAN spokesman said PAN candidates for the March 10 elections will be presented next weekend and stressed that the party “will have much more strength” with the parliamentary group, in particular to give a voice to the animal case and “end it once and for all to this absolute and anachronistic activity” in a country that is bullfighting.

“We need to guarantee young people housing and employment. We need to ensure that victims of domestic violence have an active voice in the Assembly of the Republic. We need to ensure that the country does not become hostage to the interests of the central bloc. “We must guarantee, above all, quality of life and a healthier planet for future generations,” he explained.

Ines Sousa Real outlined three main goals for PAN, which include maintaining representation in the Azores parliament, obtaining a parliamentary group in the Assembly of the Republic and regaining a seat in Europe after the election of an MEP.

“March 10 PAN is needed to bring a progressive vision and put issues at the center of politics, which is absolutely necessary in the times we live in because PS and PSD have already demonstrated that they do not serve the interests of the country. This bipartisanship that we see is not working, and the debate that we have seen lately around the pseudo-coalition of left or right is neither the discourse nor the real problems of the Portuguese,” he said.

Ines Souza Real, who is also the party’s only current legislator, also took advantage of the anniversary to take stock of the work of the legislature and highlight the “achievements” of the PAN.
