A truck collision this Monday resulted in two injuries, one of them serious, on IC2, in a north-south direction, from Povoa de Santa Iria to Lisbon.
When the truck skidded, it collided with another parked heavy truck and the alarm was raised at 4:40 pm, Sakawem Fire Brigade Commander Armando Baptista said.
The victims, two men aged 40 to 50, correspond to the drivers of two heavy vehicles. The victim is in serious condition – the driver of the stopped truck.
Both were taken to the Santa Maria hospital.
There were 14 Sacavém firefighters and two vehicles at the scene, one of which was intended for evacuation. In addition to these funds, there were also two ambulances (VMER), a car from Infraestruturas de Portugal, two cars from the PSP traffic department and a car from the Lures Municipal Civil Protection Service.
Due to the accident, the right lane was air conditioned.
