More than 11,500 liters of alcoholic beverages were seized on Wednesday from 15 commercial establishments in the municipalities of Alijo, Amarante, Felgueiras, Paredes, Penafiel, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, the GNR said in a statement on Thursday.
Of the seized material, Guardia emphasizes, 11,489 liters of liqueur wine, 494.5 liters of brandy and 360 cigarettes.
The value of the seized goods is 74,300 euros, and their illegal sale would cause losses to the state of more than 15 thousand euros.
The actions resulted in the identification of seven men and four women, ranging in age from 23 to 64, as well as two companies, the press release said.
The seizures occurred, according to the report, during inspection activities, with 13 protocols on administrative offenses drawn up, 12 for the illegal introduction of alcoholic beverages and one for the tax on tobacco products.
