This work aims to satisfy the company’s electromobility needs, to incorporate new 100% electric buses to the San Sebastián fleet.
This Monday, Dbus began the works to transform the electrical infrastructure of the depot facilities, which will make it possible to incorporate new 100% electric buses.
This work aims to satisfy the company’s electromobility needs, in the midst of the electrification process of the San Sebastián bus fleet.
As explained by the company in a press release, the transformation of Dbus into a zero-emission fleet requires the renewal of the electrical infrastructure of the facilities. Currently, the 4 100% electric buses in the fleet push the capacity of the Cocheras electric connection to the limit. For this reason, it is necessary to undertake the layout of an electrical line from the Egia distribution transformer substation to the vicinity of Cocheras, approximately a distance of 1.5 kilometers, where a sectioning center will be located. From the sectioning center, the distribution of direct electricity supply will begin, passing through the transformation centers.

For its part, the road and access to the homes will be completely free.

As the works progress and as they approach the affected areas, a letter will be sent to the neighbors to inform them of the duration and effects of the works, as has been done with the residents of Txurkoene street. Furthermore, in case a neighbor has any questions or wants more information, the winning company provides in said communication a contact telephone number to contact.
