Khan Yunis hospitals attacked by Israeli forces

Israeli forces on Monday attacked three hospitals in the southern Gaza town of Khan Yunis, even entering one, detaining several staff, after one of the most intense overnight bombings since the start of the year.

Israeli soldiers raided Al-Khair Hospital in the western part of the city on Monday morning and detained several people, including doctors and nurses, eyewitnesses said. At the same time, tanks and soldiers surrounded Al-Amal Hospital and the nearby Red Crescent headquarters, preventing patients from entering and ambulances from leaving to collect those wounded in the explosions.

The situation was also dramatic at Nasser Hospital, the largest still operating in the Gaza Strip, where intense fighting was reported nearby. More than 40 of the dead were buried on a plot of land inside the hospital complex because it was impossible to reach the cemetery, and a doctor told Reuters on Monday that he had been awake for more than 30 hours to be able to care for more of the dead. more than a dozen patients in just four beds.

ISRAELI EU PLAN “DOESN’T WORK”

Relatives of Israeli hostages still in the hands of Hamas stormed a parliamentary committee in the Knesset on Monday, demanding that lawmakers and the government do more to secure the release of their loved ones. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says there is an “initiative” but denies there are any concrete proposals from Hamas to free the hostages.
