A ten-year-old boy was bitten on the leg by a shark while swimming in an aquarium at a resort in the Bahamas.
According to Daily Mail, The attack occurred on January 15 at the Atlantis Paradise Island resort. A video of this moment was published on social networks.
Blue Adventures of Stuart Cove, a group that runs a shark diving program, said the boy was in the water with a “dive instructor and guide” when two of the animals began swimming aggressively around him. As a result, the boy lost his balance and was bitten.
The child was taken to the hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
“We have launched a thorough internal investigation and are fully cooperating with authorities,” the organization running the program said in a statement.
