According to Brazilian Post, a 21-year-old man who had hidden the body for several days, went to the police station to confess to the crime. The body was found by authorities on January 17 near a stream.
The killer and his 24-year-old girlfriend are in custody.
The father told authorities that at first he thought the child had passed out, but soon realized that he showed no signs of life. When he saw that his daughter was dead, he wrapped her in a blanket and carried her to a stream where he hid the body.
