A fire in a building in Guia, municipality of Pombal, Leiria district, early Saturday evening led to the evacuation of 15 people and left three homeless, a civil protection source told Lusa.
According to the subregional command for emergencies and civil protection of the Leiria region, a warning about a fire in a residential building in Travessa das Flores in the village of Guia was received at around 22:11 on Saturday.
Civil Defense explained that the fire, which started in the attic of the building, caused damage to two apartments.
A GNR source in Gia told Lusa that the evacuees spent the night at their family’s home.
There were 17 gunmen on the scene, supported by seven vehicles from the Pombal Fire Station, GNR Guia and Guia Parish Council.
