Weather threatens Carnival parades and processions. Areas under a yellow warning begin Thursday morning in the north, with coastal areas receiving three warnings for rain, wind and rough seas. Warnings will be issued throughout the central and southern regions throughout the day.

In a statement, IPMA explains that weather warnings will be issued over the next few days and asks people to stay tuned for updates to warnings and forecasts, “which, taking into account the timing and associated uncertainty, may undergo some adjustments.”
