The Judicial Police (PJ) arrested a 19-year-old young man suspected of two crimes of attempted murder in Mafra, Lisbon district, it was announced this Thursday in a statement.
The Judicial Police specified that the facts date back to September 2023, after a conflict that began on public roads between the detained young man and two other young people aged 17 and 21 years.
After firing the firearm, the suspect struck the victims, one of them seriously.
The man who fired the shots fled with another man, who has already been identified and charged.
“The activities carried out by the joint venture made it possible not only to identify the attackers, but also to collect evidence that allowed the arrest of the young man,” the joint venture says.
The victims were treated at the hospital, one of them remained hospitalized due to the severity of his injuries.
The detained person will be brought before a criminal investigation judge to apply coercive measures against him until he appears in court.
