Two brothers, aged 54 to 57, living in Vila Real, armed with a knife and an ax, got into a fight motivated by an inheritance dispute, which ended with both being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Already in the Vila Real hospital, after the operation, the elder was recovering and, under circumstances that are yet to be established, he threw himself from the fifth floor and died.
Neighbors believe that “he committed suicide because he thought he had killed his brother and would go to jail.” The younger one, who caused more concern, was taken to hospital in Porto.
Disagreements between them were frequent and, according to neighbors, they worsened after the death of their father due to a dispute over an inheritance.
The SP is investigating the matter.
