Demonstrations asking for support and regulation for Brazilian carnival groups in Portugal, which began on Saturday in Lisbon, continue on Tuesday and the fight will go well beyond carnival, one of the groups’ representatives assured Luz.
The LisBloco demonstration for freedom of street culture in Lisbon will take to the streets on Tuesday in what will be a parade of neighborhoods, but in protest, and according to one of the group’s leaders, Júlio Brecho, the police will “check whether it is a demonstration or a celebration carnival.”
According to him, the meeting will take place at Praça do Comércio at 15:00, then travel to Cais do Sodre and arrive at Parque Jardim Roque Gameiro at 19:00. The route, which will depend on weather conditions, he emphasized.
