Francisco Sa (pictured), president of IAPMEI – Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, this Thursday submitted his resignation to the Minister of Economy and the Sea, Antonio Costa Silva, knows the business.
Francisco Sa has been in this role on a temporary basis since February 2021, but has been on the staff of the agency since 1984, advising the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department from 2015 to 2017.
The resignation, as Business knows, was caused by the Minister of Economy. According to information received from sources close to the process, António Costa Silva is preparing to “clean up” the IAPMEI governance structure.
Meanwhile, a statement from the Ministry of Economy and the Sea said that António Costa Silva today appointed Captain Luis Filipe Pratas Guerreiro “to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of IAPMEI.”
Luis Pratas Guerreiro has so far been Assistant Minister of Economy.
