After cloudy weather during Carnival, the next few days will be marked by a slight rise in temperatures, which will be above normal for February. The rain continues unabated.
Rainfall will be felt starting Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday morning along the North Coast, according to IPMA meteorologist Bruno Cafe.
“Periods of rain may be heavy, decreasing in intensity and frequency from Thursday afternoon, first along the coast and then inland,” he says.
The meteorologist explains that the worsening weather is due to “the passage of a hot frontal surface, rain and thunderstorms and a drop in temperature.”
He also adds that “skies will generally be very cloudy with high clouds and some fog and fog.”
Overall, maximum temperatures will be around 20°C and 23°C, with minimum temperatures ranging from 8° to 15°, and in Serra da Estrela they could reach negative temperatures early on Friday morning.
