The Tuvisa staff maintains the strike, waiting for the City Council’s response to its latest proposal

The Tuvisa strike committee continues with the indefinite strike waiting to receive the response, from the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, to the latest proposal made by the committee.

In a note made public this Friday, the committee assures that “although there was some progress yesterday, there are still points that are critical for the resolution of the conflict.”

They point out that they have sent the City Council a series of points that “if resolved affirmatively,” would lead to calling an assembly, where the staff would vote on whether to call off the strike or continue with it.

“Meanwhile, this staff will continue with the indefinite strike, fighting firmly and united for their rights,” they point out.

The last meeting between the management and the works council of the public transport service of the capital of Alava, Tuvisa, was held yesterday, Thursday, a meeting that ended without agreements.

The City Council reported yesterday that, despite not having achieved a consensus, there had been “a significant rapprochement” between both parties.

In turn, he stated that the committee was preparing a document to be sent to the management. Document that is now on the table of the City Council.

Yesterday the committee established a 100% monitoring of the sixth consecutive day of strike carried out by the workers since last Saturday, February 10.
