He ingested acorns containing approximately 600 grams of cannabis (resin and leaves) and boarded a commercial flight on the 14th. But one of the acorns burst inside the body and, due to the use of some substance, the man caused a disturbance on the plane (he spoke loudly and was inconvenient for everyone), forcing the captain to make an emergency landing in Lajes in the Azores.
The PSP pulled him off the plane, and while at the police station he showed medical symptoms of an overdose and was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Santo Espiritu Hospital on the island of Terceira. He was connected to the machine for several days, at the risk of his life, and was already being followed by the judicial police of the Azores, who collected the drug sent and detained him after his discharge from the hospital. The drug mule appeared in court on Tuesday.
