A woman has sued manufacturer AstraZeneca after her husband died due to a rare reaction to the Covid-19 vaccine, according to a report published Thursday. BBC.
According to the woman, the 50-year-old man coached a football team and was in shape, but after receiving the vaccine in 2021, he began to get very sick.
The symptoms began to resemble the flu, but they intensified, and the coach had to visit the hospital regularly for two months.
Upon returning home, he suffered a fatal fall, and the death certificate showed thrombosis and thrombocytopenia caused by the vaccine. A “rare reaction” to the Covid-19 vaccine has been identified following an investigation. The woman says she is pro-vaccination, but said if it weren’t for the vaccine, her husband would likely still be alive.
The widow received more than €140,000 in compensation from the government, but she claims it is not enough to compensate for her husband’s death, pay the mortgage or support the couple’s children, aged 23 and 27.
“I don’t want to go to court, but the money is necessary for the future of my family,” he added.
The woman is among 80 people who have launched legal action against the AstraZeneca vaccine, which will no longer be funded by the UK government in 2022.
