The two men arrested this Friday on suspicion of drug dealing after being harassed by the GNR in Grandola will be held in custody.
The Beja GNR military knew that a suspicious vehicle was about to pass through the area and staged a mega operation.
During the pursuit, the suspects lost their trail, and the authorities managed to intercept the car in Grandola. The military detained two of the four passengers in the car near the hypermarket. One of the suspects was shot dead. Two remain on the run.
After this mega-operation between the command of the district of Beja and the district of Setubal, the military seized 33 kg of drugs, 77 thousand euros and a 6.35 mm pistol.
