A The Social Communications Regulator (ERC) began the process following a survey published by Chega. Renaissance.
The poll, carried out by the Brazilian company Paraná Pesquisas, used data from the Portuguese Intercampus and placed the party led by Andre Ventura in a technical link with the Socialist Party and the Democratic Alliance.
“The ERC has already ordered the commencement of an investigation to assess the matter at hand and acknowledges receipt of a report in this regard,” it said.
Since the ERC is not accredited to conduct polls, Parana Pesquisas asked that no media outlet disseminate the public opinion survey. However, Chega shared this both in the party newspaper Folha Nacional, which the ERC considers a doctrinal periodical, and on social media.
