PSD vice-president Paulo Rangel accused José Luis Carneiro of spreading rumors and lies, suggesting that secret negotiations were taking place between the parties and comparing the PS’s election campaign methods to those of Chegi.
At a lunch meeting in Maia, on the first day of the official campaign for the March 10 legislative elections, Rangel made a direct attack on the still interior minister and head of the PS list from Braga, who on Saturday suggested that between the Democratic Alliance (AD) and other parties are conducting “hidden negotiations.”
“Yesterday we saw how the head of the Braga list spoke and created rumors, created rumors, created intrigue. What authority does the PS have if the only argument of its campaign is rumors, rumors, lies, fiction?” – he wondered.
Paulo Rangel believes that at the moment the PS “is in despair and is already imitating Chege, whom he criticizes for using fake news.”
“The PS is now desperately emulating Chege and building its campaign on fake news, rumors and hearsay,” he accused.
