The third trial begins today in the death of Igor Silva, a Porto fan who was stabbed 18 times during celebrations for the 2022 title.
The trial began on February 15.
The first hearings were marked by tension between the victim’s family and the mother and daughter of Marco Orelhas, one of the defendants, and his son Renato.
Igor Silva’s mother is expected to give a statement in court on Tuesday.

Judges are now hearing the case of a young woman who was also attacked on the night of the murder.
The indictment says she was attacked by Marisa Santos and Yara Goncalves, the wife and daughter of “Orelhas.”

Igor’s mother says that she was called to the hospital on the morning of the crime. “They said there was an accident, but I didn’t find out what happened until the next day,” he says.
Augusta says her son didn’t tell her about his problems, but I knew that there were conflicts with the family of Marco “Orelhas”.
Also present at the São João Novo court in Porto are two judicial police inspectors who will be heard as witnesses in the case of the death of Igor Silva.
They will report to judges on how the investigation was conducted and how suspects were identified.
