The Tax Administration (AT) has extended the deadline for 2023 invoice verification on the e-fatura portal by two days to Wednesday, following restrictions on the last day of the original deadline.
In response to Lusa, the Ministry of Finance states that Finance Minister Nuno Santos Félix “decided to extend the period of verification and transmission of invoices by two days” after “special restrictions and restrictions on access to a second – fair.
“The new deadline therefore expires at the end of February 28,” he adds.
According to the Ministry of Finance, technical changes are currently underway so that this extension can be made in the e-invoice mobile application.
AT said on Monday it had received a high level of access, causing taxpayers to have difficulty checking accounts.
On that day, AT acknowledged that “reported situations may be associated with such a high volume of calls” and that it was monitoring “the above-mentioned service and dedicating all necessary resources to optimize the taxpayer’s experience/access”, recalling that on that day, in addition to the e- e-invoice application is also available.
Verifying accounts is one of the necessary steps in preparing your annual IRS return.
According to a statement released Tuesday, the change to this limit “does not affect the timing of pre-claims for amounts determined by the taxing authority” or the filing of annual IRS returns.
IRS annual return delivery begins April 1st and runs through June 30th.
