This Wednesday, Carris is launching the CarrisWay application (“app”), which will allow you to download travel passes and other transport tickets to your Navegante card via your “smartphone”, the Lisbon road transport company said.
With CarrisWay, the company aims to make the daily lives of public transport users easier, who will be able to buy tickets and charge passes on their “smartphone” without using regular charging points.
Payments can be made using MbWay or using a credit card. “Several other transport tickets, including free tickets, can be downloaded onto the personalized navigation map,” Carris added, highlighting that the “app” also allows you to issue confirmation of the download.
The carrier also said that the “app” was created by the company itself, which is “the first transport operator in the national market to create and launch its own application for this purpose.”
The application is available for smartphones with compatible NFC technology, for Android and iOS systems.
Carris is a public transport company for passengers in the city of Lisbon.
