An 81-year-old woman, missing since Thursday, from a house in Travancas, in the municipality of Chaves, was found dead this Friday, a PNP source told Lusa.
GNR said the elderly woman was reported missing by the facility at 6:30 pm on Thursday, when the military and firefighters began a search.
According to the source, the body of the woman was discovered by the PNP this morning at 10 am, on a dirt road, next to agricultural land and about 300-400 meters from the house.
Film technical groups and a cavalry squadron of the GNR were involved in the search operation.
The source explained that the cause of death would be determined through an autopsy and that the process had been reported to Chavez’s Ministry of Public Affairs (MP).
