Costa asks for help from super lawyers

Antonio Costa is preparing for a new stage. The outgoing prime minister is attending a graduate course in contract disputes, mediation and arbitration at the Catholic University and has asked for sponsorship from José Miguel Judice and Antonio Lobo Xavier, two of the greatest experts in a field where millions of euros are traded. Arbitrators receive remuneration depending on the amount of the dispute in which they intervene.

Costa asked two well-known lawyers belonging to the Portuguese Arbitration Association to sign an application for membership. You will gain skills as an arbitrator in cases involving large companies, in litigation, often against the state. Costa’s sponsors worked for large law firms. Lobo Xavier, member of the state council and appointed chairman of the EDP, joined Morais Leitan; José Miguel Yudice was a founding partner of PLMJ and now works independently (he has conducted more than 70 national and international arbitrations in areas such as energy, banking, tourism and transport).

It is with the help of Judice and Lobo Javier, who, according to Expresso, have already signed the membership form, that António Costa will join more than 200 judges in the sector.
