The Beatles are voted the best band of all time

The prestigious North American magazine Rolling Stone counted and named the Beatles the best rock band of all time. Liverpool’s Fab Four continue to form one of the world’s best-selling bands, whose influence is most felt among new generations.

The news comes at the same time that three cassettes of the British band’s recordings, dating back to 1966, are being put up for auction and are valued at 17 thousand euros. The recordings were recorded by the band’s drummer Ringo Starr on his personal recorder and capture important moments from the Beatles’ final tour, which took them to Germany, Japan and the Philippines.

In the recordings, the musicians can be heard discussing musical forms, Ringo plays the song “Don’t Pass Me By” on the piano, and Brian Epstein (the band’s agent) explains how goods are shipped from Japan to the United Kingdom without paying taxes. . In another recording, in India, the Beatles play the country’s traditional instruments.

Omega Auctions’ sales manager says the recordings are an “incredible find” and “of great interest to scholars, collectors and Beatles fans.”
