The Porto Judicial Police arrested a couple, aged 42 and 29, in Vila Nova de Gaia on suspicion of producing and selling cannabis at home. The suspected drug dealers had one and a half kilograms of already packaged marijuana and a plate of hashish, as well as LSD and marijuana.
“The couple had all the necessary accessories to grow this type of plant in the apartment, and the attic of the house was used as a growing space,” PJ said in a statement. In addition to items used in the construction of greenhouses, heating systems and air circulation, other evidence was collected indicating the production and sale of this type of substance.
The materials and drugs were seized during searches after authorities became aware of users who had come to the house to purchase drugs. The greenhouse was not working, that is, the growing period had not yet begun.
The two detainees will attend their first judicial interrogation this Thursday at the Porto Criminal Investigation Court.
