A restaurant in Vendas Novas, in the Évora district, was destroyed after being robbed and set on fire early on Saturday morning. The information was confirmed in morning Post the owner of the establishment, Luis Pateiro, who called it “an act of pure vandalism.”
The same source reported CM that the robbers drank alcohol before stealing money from a tobacco machine. Unsatisfied, they set the restaurant on fire and fled.
The alarm was declared at 3 am. 17 operatives were mobilized to the scene, supported by six vehicles, including firefighters and representatives of the State Police. According to the owner, the judicial police were called.
