A 23-year-old robbery suspect was arrested on Tuesday as part of a special crime prevention operation carried out by the PSP Pombal with the cooperation of the Judicial Police.
The head of the Pombal police station, Norberto Ferreira, explained to the Lusa agency that the detainee is suspected of robbing a man on a public street in that city in the Leiria area in January.
The victim filed a complaint with the PSP, and since the alleged crime was committed with a firearm, “the investigation was transferred to the judicial police,” explained the person in charge.
