The PS declares that it is ready to accept the Left Bloc at the request of the bloc coordinator Mariana Mortagua for meetings with leftist forces to discuss convergences in opposition to the future government.
“The PS is naturally ready to accept the Bloc de Esquerda,” an official source in the Socialist leadership told Lusa on Tuesday.
This Tuesday, BE asked to hold meetings with the PS, PCP, Livre and PAN to analyze the election results, which “changed the political face of the country”, and to discuss convergences “in opposition to the right-wing government” and in building an alternative.
From Livre’s side, an official source confirmed to Lusa that the party received BE’s invitation and also accepted it.
Last Sunday, Livre increased its representation in parliament from one to four deputies.
